US Representative to the Human Rights Council Eileen Donahoe highlights the important Special Session on the deteriorating human rights situation in Syria. She notes the broad support for the session among countries from all regions, including Arab countries, and says she expects the session will produce strong action against Syria and increase its isolation. Ambassador Donahoe also describes the growing abuses of the Assad regime and stresses that Assad has lost the legitimacy to govern the Syrian people. Available material includes soundbites and still images.
